Naqash, Mir, Hakim visited SMHS hospital to see the injured due to pellet and bullet firing | KNO

Srinagar 10 May (KNO) : Senior Hurriyat leaders including Mohammad Yousuf Naqash Chairman Islamic Political Paty JK, Javaid Ahmad Mir Chairman JKLF (H) and President Muslim Democratic League Hakim Abdul Rashid and today visited SMHS hospital to see the dozens of pellet and bullet injured teenagers and budding youth of South and central Kashmir who were seriously injured by indiscriminate and ruthless pellet and bullet firing of Indian forces.

All the injured have been targeted above waist intentionally to cripple maim and blind them and destroy their future. 98 percent among the injured are students, teenagers and school going children and most of the cases their vision has been damaged with no possibility of recovery. The leaders while strongly condemning the continuous , ruthless and indiscriminate target pellet and bullet firing by Indian forces on teenagers , budding youth and students have expressed solidarity with the families of their family members.

It is intolerable to see that all the victims are below 18 years teenager students ranging from 6 th, 8 th, 9th class mostly badly affected with no chances of recovery. Naqash, Mir and Hakim while castigating these extreme oppressive tactics unleashed by Indian forces has said that it is a well established fact now that India has made it a policy to kill, injure, maim and blind our generation through these oppressive tactics to ruin their life. But Indian Government and its forces can never succeed in curbing the ongoing freedom movement through these oppressive policies. The leaders appealed International community and world Human Rights Organizations including International Red Cross to come to the rescue of Kashmiri people suffering unabated oppression since 7 decades.

Kashmiri people are human beings and struggling for the lasting and honorable solution of Kashmir dispute through meaningful political dialogue. The leaders said that solution of Kashmir dispute cannot be wished away through military might .Peace, normalcy and development is never possible in South Asia in the presence of Kashmir dispute. As such it is in the interest of India to solve Kashmir as per the wishes and aspirations of the natives of Kashmir.
